GAMEDAY (Feb. 9, 2019): Following a convincing win over Bard on Friday, RPI is right back home to face first place Vassar ... Rensselaer is 11-10 overall and 6-8 in the conference, which is tied for sixth in the standings ... The Brewers are 19-3 and 13-2 after a loss at RIT on Friday that snapped a 16-game winning streak.

ALUMNAE WEEKEND: Welcome back to all the Rensselaer Women's Basketball alumnae who made the trip to Troy!

FIVE STRAIGHT: The Engineers are in the midst of five consecutive home games to end the regular season.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Junior Ines Ortea notched a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, along with five steals, and 10 of her teammates also scored as RPI defeated Bard, 64-38 ... Elizabeth Eckhardt paced all Rensselaer players with 18 points, along with three rebounds and a pair of assists ... The Engineers led 21-7 after the first quarter and 39-16 at halftime ... They were never challenged in the second half ... Bard was led by Christina Kiser, who scored 30 points with six rebounds and five steals.

CLIMBING: Senior Elizabeth Eckhardt has 1,030 career points ... She is 53 points from 12th place (Holly Neiweem) in program history. 

VASSAR ON FRIDAY: A strong defensive RIT team held Vassar to 11.8 percent from three-point range, while causing 18 turnovers en route to beating the Brewers 72-58 ... Junior Jackie Cenan led Vassar with 17 points, adding a team-high five assists and two steals ... Sophie Nick added 16 points and 12 rebounds ... RIT was led by Stanley Brooke with 23 points and Sabrina Wolfe at 21 points and 13 rebounds ... Cori Okada added 16 for the Tigers.

ALL-TIME AGAINST VASSAR: The Engineers are 31-17 against the Brewers, including 16-7 in Troy ... There have been 37 conference contests with Rensselaer leading that part of the series 23-14.

LAST 10: RPI is 3-7 in its last 10 games with Vassar with each coming in league play ... Two wins have come at East Campus Arena in Troy.

MORE RECENTLY: The Engineers and Brewers have split the past four games with three of those contests being played in Poughkeepsie.

LAST SEASON: Both teams won a game a season ago with the Engineers winning in Troy on January 12 (49-45) and the Brewers earning a victory at home on February 10 (55-50).

EARLIER THIS YEAR: Jackie Cenan scored 24 points with 17 coming in the second half and Vassar led throughout in a 67-43 win over Rensselaer ... Cenan made 8 of 14 shots, including 4 of 6 three pointers, to earn game-high honors ... She also had six rebounds and three steals ... Isa Peczuh scored 14 points and Sophie Nick had eight with a game-high 14 rebounds ... LaKissa Martin led the Engineers with 12 points and nine rebounds, along with three steals ... Ines Ortea had 11 points with six rebounds and five steals.
