CANTON, N.Y. - Christina Ryan's win at No. 3 singles helped the St. Lawrence women's tennis clinch a 6-3 victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) on Saturday morning in the Newell Field House to improve to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in Liberty League play. The Engineers fall to 6-8 and 0-3.
The Saints got off to a 3-0 start through doubles play, as they prevailed in close matches at all positions. Ryan and partner Grace van Tartwijk edged RPI's

Brenda Peng, 8-7 (7), at No. 2 to complete the sweep.
RPI won the first two matches in singles play at No. 4 (
Brenda Peng) and No. 2 (Surapeneni) to cut the overall deficit to 3-2 in the match, but St. Lawrence responded with a three-set come-from-behind win by Reilly at No.1 and Ryan's win at No. 3.
