POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team traveled south for a Liberty League contest at No. 38 Vassar College and the Engineers lost to the Brewers, 8-1.
Rensselaer's (6-9; 0-4 Liberty League) lone victory came at No. 2 doubles, which saw the tandem of
Sanjana Surapeneni and
Brenda Peng post an 8-2 win. The Engineers nearly held the lead after doubles, but seniors
Andrea Valencia and
Nisha Rajamohan fell in a tiebreak, 8-7 (6).Â
