TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's hockey team will play 34 regular season games during the 2019-20 season, including 16 at the Houston Field House. The schedule features seven games against 2019 NCAA Tournament teams, including home games against Frozen Four participants Clarkson and Cornell.
The Engineers welcome Brock University to the Houston Field House for an exhibition game on September 22, before opening the regular season at home against Minnesota State – Mankato (Sept. 27-28).
RPI then hits the road for five straight games, beginning with a series at Merrimack (Oct. 4-5). The Engineers travel to Penn State for a pair (Oct. 11-12), before closing out the trip and the month of October at Holy Cross (Oct. 27)
ECAC Hockey play begins at home for the Engineers this season, when they host North Country powers St. Lawrence and Clarkson on November 1 and 2, respectively. A league excursion to Brown (Nov. 8) and Yale (Nov. 9) follows.
A season-long, six-game homestand opens on November 15 and 16 against Quinnipiac and Princeton, respectively. The Engineers then host back-to-back non-league series against Robert Morris (Nov. 22-23) and Bemidji State (29-30). RPI finishes the first half with by visiting Clarkson (Dec. 6) and St. Lawrence (Dec. 7).
RPI picks up in January with a road trip to Dartmouth (Jan. 3) and Harvard (Jan. 4). The Engineers return home for four straight, beginning with a league weekend against Colgate (Jan. 10) and Cornell (Jan. 11). The Bulldogs (Jan. 17) and Bears (Jan. 18) then visit Troy.
The Engineers renew their rivalry with Union on January 24 in Schenectady, before hosting the third Mayor's Cup at the Times Union Center the following day. RPI travels to reigning College Hockey America champion Syracuse (Feb. 1).
League play resumes at Princeton (Feb. 7) and Quinnipiac (Feb. 8), followed by the team's final two home games of the regular season against Harvard (Feb. 14) and Dartmouth (Feb. 15). Saturday's matchup with Big Green will be Senior Day. RPI closes out the year with a trip to Cornell (Feb. 21) and Colgate (Feb. 22).
ECAC Hockey Tournament play begins on February 28 and run through March 8. NCAA Tournament action opens in March 14 and concludes at the Frozen Four from March 20-22.
