TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team has added six newcomers in the Class of 2024 to go along with 12 members of the Class of 2021 and four from the Class of 2020. The squad of 38, led by head coach
Keith Glasser, has student-athletes from more than 11 different states and two countries with 16 different majors being studied.

- Jake Nichols (Granby, CT / Granby Memorial) had a project engineering internship for Tucker Mechanical in Connecticut.
- Dylan Albert's (Southington, CT / Xavier) aunt and uncle played soccer and baseball, respectively, at Marist.
- Ryan Brown (Schenectady, NY / Schalmont) has an uncle and a grandfather who graduated from Rensselaer.
- Joe Curci (Chicago, IL / University of Chicago HS) has experience at Kane Graphical Corporation. His sister ran cross country and track & field at Washington University in St. Louis.
- Richard Drum (Clifton Park, NY / Shenendehowa) was a database administrator intern with Datto Inc. in 2018 and 2019 and a software quality assurance intern in 2017. He played one year of football at Rensselaer (linebacker). His brother played baseball and football at Union.
- Jimmy Jankowski (Bellport, NY / Bellport) has a cousin who played in the major leagues. Jimmy's father played at LIU and his grandfather played in the minors in the Mets organization.
- Joey Saia's (Voorheesville, NY / Clayton A. Bouton) father attended Rensselaer.
- Chris Grome (Framingham, MA / Dexter Southfield School) has been a hydro-mechanical systems engineering intern at Collins Aerospace and a structural engineering intern at IMEG in Oregon. He is a research assistant at SEAL Lab at RPI (horizon based optical navigation). He has been accepted into the Institute's doctorate program for nuclear engineering.
- Mike Tagaris (New City, NY / Clarkstown South) gained experience at TC Electric, an electrical engineering company in Manhattan. He runs an investment blog called FinancialFreedome101.blog.
- Tagaris punted on the Rensselaer football team for one year and his brother played baseball at WPI.
- Cole Paquin's (Clifton Park, NY / Shenendehowa) father played football at Union.
- Evan Mahns (Eatontown, NJ / Christian Brothers Academy) has a cousin who was a softball All-American.
- Jake Defayette (Schenectady, NY / Schalmont) has a brother who plays baseball at UAlbany. Their father played hockey at Cortland.
- Alex Vallee (Greenwich, NY / Schuylerville) runs his own sneaker selling business. His sister, who is in the Rensselaer Class of 2022, plays basketball and competes in track & field. Their father played baseball for the Engineers.
- Phillip Li (Forest Hills, NY / Hunter College HS) secured an internship with Amphenol Aerospace.
- Rob Goldstein (Trbuumll, CT / Trumbull) is an accomplished singer.
- Brendan Bucceri's (Annandale, NJ / Princeton Day School) played field hockey at UConn.
- Will Thramann (Avon, CT / Loomis Chaffee School) has experience with The Triumph Group. His brother rowed at Tufts and their grandfather was an Olympic-caliber fencer.
- Eric Zeppa (Long Beach, NY / Long Beach) was an intern for Halmar International (Third Track Expansion project). His sister played volleyball at Stevenson.
- Cooper Hay's (Houston, TX / St. John's School) parents both swam at UC Santa Barbara. His father swam and played water polo at Chico State University, where he was an All-American and inducted into the school's Athletics Hall of Fame.
- George Rainer (Mount Sinai, NY / Mount Sinai) was a manufacturing engineering intern with BH Aircraft. His father played baseball at Palm Beach Atlantic.
- Jack Vaccari (Hopkinton, NY / Hopkinton) was an assistant project manager for Caldwell and Walsh Building Construction. He played wide receiver for the Engineers.
- Derek Livingston (Sands Point, NY / Paul D. Schreiber) has an aunt and an uncle who graduated from Rensselaer.
- Ben Koomey (Arlington, VA / Yorktown) had an internship with ThorBen Consulting.
- Sam Stone's (Providence, RI / Moses Brown) brother sails at Vermont.
- Freddy Reichelt (Mohegan Lake, NY / Lakeland) has experience in the Center for Automation Tech & Systems (LED lighting systems), including on a research raft on Lake George.
- Sam Aslansan's (Philadelphia, PA / Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) father '91, sister '19 and uncle '95 all graduated from Rensselaer. His father and uncle played football and his sister played lacrosse.
- Hudson Livesey's (St. Petersburg, FL / St. Petersburg) father played baseball at Auburn and advanced to AAA with the Yankees. He currently coaches in the Marlins organization. Hudson's grandfather, Bill, was a professional baseball coach and MLB executive.
