Favorite sports memory during career?
"My favorite RPI memory without a doubt is playing soccer in the locker room before every game with our team. There is no better way to get ready to go beat an opponent than by playing soccer at maximum overdrive with 21 of your best friends." - March 2020
What makes Rensselaer so special?
"The people make RPI special. I've never been surrounded by a group who works so hard in every aspect of their lives. You go to practice exhausted because you just had a full day and you know everyone in the locker room is feeling exactly the same. But they are going to get out there and give 100% of what they have left in the tank. That's what makes RPI special. Rensselaer is a place where you know you are surrounded not only by people who are just as competitive as you, but by people who want to see you succeed as badly as they want to succeed themselves." - March 2020
What are your post-graduation plans?
"I've accepted an offer to join W. L. Gore & Associates as an industrial engineer in their biopharmaceutical division." - March 2020
From the coaching staff:
"DeRosa's metamorphosis took place in her junior season. She demonstrated ownership of her ability and her role on the team. She embraced leadership and has taken so many teammates under her wing. DeRosa has an incredible balance of a hard-nosed, all-business approach to lacrosse competition and a light-hearted family vibe off the field." - April 2020
What others say:
"She's all over the field in the best way, while staying strong on defense when needed. She has a way of pushing people in the right direction. No one will be lost while she's on the field." - March 2020
"When on the field it is impossible to miss Becca's voice. She is everyone's number one supporter and will always be the loudest on the field. Her skills on defense were instrumental for the success of our team. I could always count on her to play her best and leave everything on the field. Off the field, Becca is one of my best friends. She is always there when you need her and puts the team before herself." - March 2020
"Becca embodies the word leader on and off the field. She has shaped our team culture to be what it is today. She has the highest expectations for us and for herself, but she is also the easiest person to talk to. She's incredibly thoughtful, always making sure everyone feels at home on the team and comfortable just being herself. Our team will have a hole that no one will be able to fill without her next year." - March 2020
"Becca is a natural born leader on and off the field. She is someone I look up to a lot because of her ability to lead the team and her ease with which she is a friend to everyone." - April 2020
"A great leader on and off the field. She always had the coolest interceptions with her "noodle arms. (That's what our team says)." - April 2020
"Becca has been a defensive leader on our team since I came in as a freshman. She keeps everyone accountable, holding our team to a high standard and ensuring we play at the level we are capable of playing." - April 2020
"Amazing leader, always lightens up the room when she walks in, guaranteed to put a smile on your face." - April 2020
"My first friend at RPI. Becca knows what she wants and is a natural leader. She has a kind heart and I know she will be extremely successful in life. Her sense of humor is amazing, she always has everyone laughing uncontrollably." - April 2020
