From the coaching staff:
"Dylan's work rate is second to none. His engine never stops. Throughout his career he had a knack for coming up big at just the right time. A perfect example was the game-winning goal in the Sweet 16 against Messiah. Dylan was playing on a bad ankle and muscled through it all day. The game went into overtime and at the exact right moment, he made two of the most important runs of his career and then served up a great cross for the game-winner to put us in the Elite 8 of the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The thing about Dylan is that you really notice him more when he is not there because all the little things he does. Not sure we heard him speak the first two years he played for us but he was a leader by the way he worked his butt off every day." - March 2020
What others say:
"Always willing to put maximum effort toward the goals of the team." - March 2020
"Never says a word but the way he plays speaks for him. I would say he's the most well-rounded, versatile player on the team." - April 2020
"I've never met a harder worker than
Dylan Confair. On the field, he's a perpetual motion machine, buzzing about, annoying opponents up the field and back down again. Off it, he's extremely humble, always quick to buff up his teammates and encourage us to push on." April 2020
"One of the most humble but talented people I have met. Extremely successful on the field, and even more so off of it." - April 2020
"He never took a second off. Form the first whistle to the last he was working hard; he is just built that way. It's in his DNA." - April 2020
"Focused and determined in everything he does." - April 2020
"During my four years at RPI, I have never once heard Dylan complain even when I did my best to annoy him as his roommate. He is an incredible soccer player and friend." - April 2020
"Very tough to play with in the midfield. Very good player." - April 2020
"Never stopped working for the team. Really strong technically, but had an incredible motor that set a great example for younger players on how to be a high-quality college soccer player." - April 2020
"
Dylan Confair is one of the best, down-to-earth people I've ever met and I can't wait to see him succeed in life." - April 2020
