SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Skidmore College women's tennis team took four of six singles matches en route to a 6-3 victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), in a tighly contested Liberty League contest on Friday. With the win, the Thoroughbreds improve to 1-0 overall (1-0 Liberty League), while the Engineers drop to 3-1 (0-1 Liberty League).
RPI got two wins from
Alex Mednikova, who was victrious at first flight singles, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, over Lily Feldman after teaming up with
Rani Jones for a first doubles triumph over Feldman and Konika Dhull, 8-4. The Engineers other win came from
Sonya Khudyakov, who took down Audrey SooHoo in a shortened sixth singles bout, 2-1 (retired).
