TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's and women's swimming & diving programs began their seasons on October 9 and will make their home debuts at Robison Pool on Saturday, October 30. The Engineers, who are led by head coaches Shannon O'Brien (swimming) and
Maria Coomaraswamy-Falkenstein (diving), have eight dual meets and four invitationals scheduled in 2021-22.
Neither the men nor the women competed in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but both had outstanding 2019-20 seasons. The men won their fifth straight Liberty League Championship - and sixth in the past seven years - while the women won five straight dual meets before sending
Megan Beaulieu to the NCAA Championship Meet.
Highlights/notables of the 2021-22 schedule include:

- MIT Winter Invitational over three days in early December

- RPI Diving Invitational at Robison Pool on February 5
