TROY, N.Y. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its annual All-Academic Teams and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's program, along with student-athletes
Morgan Lee and
Maya Verma were recognized.
The Engineers earned All-Academic Team recognition after posting a grade point average of 3.35. Recognition is based on a minimum GPA of 3.0 by the squad. Forty of the 52 members of the team had a grade point average of at least 3.0 in the spring 2022 semester with 24 earning a 3.5 or better. Seven had perfect 4.0 GPAs and 22 earned Liberty League All-Academic last year.

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
- Must have finished the indoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who were accepted into the Indoor National Championship, are eligible
- Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who were accepted in the relay at the Indoor National Championship (alternates are excluded), are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.
