Thomas Fraser shot a 1-under 70 for a first place tie and graduate student
Joey Harrigan was ony three strokes back to pace the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) golf team to the lead after Day 1 of the Williams College Fall Invitational being held at the Taconic Golf Course.
Fraser, who had four birdies, is tied with Jack Walsh of Skidmore College, while Harrigan is tied for fifth place. He and five others are one stroke from fourth place.
As a team, RPI shot a +11, 295 and hold a two stroke lead over Hamilton College and a three stroke advantage over both Williams and Trinity. Action concludes on Sunday.
