TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's swimming and diving team have begun their season on a five-meet winning streak, as they defeated Vassar College by a final score of 170-124 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Shannon Brown had a strong day for the Engineers, taking home three first-place finishes – first in the 200 yard freestyle, followed by the 100 yard freestyle and 200 yard individual medley.
 
Hannah Goddard collected a first-place finish in the 200 yard butterfly, while Sierra Pargett did the same in the 50 yard freestyle. Both of them combined with Vera Korff and Gabby Crother-Collado to take the top spot in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
 
The Engineers return to action on Friday, Dec. 1 when they head to MIT for the three-day MIT Winter Invitational.
