TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's swimming team their undefeated start to the 2023-24 season as they took two wins on Sunday afternoon in victories over The College of Saint Rose (149-70) and SUNY Oneonta (161-65).
 
Ella Simpson showed out in the diving portion of the day's competition, coming in first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 268.28 – good enough to hit as an NCAA Regional qualifying score. Also in diving was Patricia Christensen, as she claimed the top spot in the Women's 1-meter dive.
 
Shannon Brown tossed three first-place finishes on the scoresheet, winning her trio as part of the 400 medley relay team, 400 freestyle relay team, as well as the 100 freestyle individually.
 
Lastly, Elizabeth Rose was also part of the 400 medley relay team, while individually taking the first win of her collegiate career with a victory in the Women's 200 butterfly.
 
The Engineers return to action next week on Saturday, Nov. 11 when they face-off at Vassar in a dual meet.
