NEW YORK, N.Y. - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) was represented on the first day of the NCAA Region 3 Diving Championships by Ella Simpson and Matt Abraham with the former competing from the 3-meter board and the latter from 1 meter.

Simpson, a freshman, compiled a score of 341.65 to finish 23rd of 24 divers, while Abraham, a senior, had a score of 347.10. He was 15th.

The competition continues on Saturday with the men going from 3 meters and the men from 1-meter. New York University is hosting the meets.
