WHITTIER, Calif. - Five student-athletes earned two victories apiece to lead the No. 22 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team to a 9-0 victory over Whittier College in RPI's second match on its Spring Break trip. The win evened the Engineers record at 3-3, while the Poets fall to 2-8.
Aiden Drover-Mattinen and
Andy Zhu won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles before they both went on to straight set victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
Igor Visnevskij and
Abraham Yohannes did the same at No. 2 doubles and Nos. 4-3 singles and
Bryce Burnham won at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 singles.
