LATHAM, N.Y. - After winning two of the three doubles matches, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team won singles matches Nos. 2-6 on its way to defeating The College of New Jersey 7-2 in a non-league match. The No. 36 Engineers are now 9-2, while the No. 40 Lions drop to 7-3.
Alex Mednikova won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 for RPI with
Lorna Flores Gonzalez capturing No. 3 in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
Rani Jones won at No. 4,
Brooke Bauer took No. 5, and
Sabrina Grewal posted a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 6.
