SCHENECTADY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) field hockey team lost 4-2 at Union this afternoon.

Ria Patel scored one goal apiece for RPI on the afternoon.
The Engineers were forced to played from behind early, as Union tallied a goal in the first 25 seconds in the contest.
Brown gave RPI its first goal five minutes later to make it 1-1, however the Garnet Chargers strike moments after that to push ahead once again.
Union would add two more goals in the second quarter to take a 4-1 advantage into halftime.
Patel provided the Engineers with a goal in the opening minuets of the third, however that would complete the scoring from either side.
RPI will next travel to Rochester for a 4:00 pm Liberty League matchup on Friday afternoon.
