FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's hockey team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss today at Sacred Heart.

Taylor Larsen and Sophia Jones each registered points, while Reese Keating had 21 saves in the close loss for RPI. 

Larsen netted the lone goal of the afternoon for the Engineers, as she one-timed an attempt from the blue line to cap an RPI power play with 30 seconds left in the second frame. Jones provided the feed to set Larsen up for the score.

After the two squads played a scoreless third period, Savannah Popick scored the game-winner for the host Pioneers three minutes into the extra 3-on-3 session.

RPI and Sacred Heart will finish their weekend series tomorrow night at 7:00 pm in Houston Field House.
