TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) field hockey team celebrated a 3-0 triumph on Senior Day against SUNY Oneonta this afternoon on Harkness Field.
Lauren McCarthy,
Rachel Banister, and
Kylie Secker each provided goals for the Engineers in the non-conference win.
McCarthy and Banister both struck in the first four minutes of the first period to give RPI a 2-0 advantage very early.
Secker would account for the Engineers' third goal, as she found the back of the net for her first career collegiate goal with nine minutes remaining in the first half.
Olivia Brovak registered the first shutout of her career for RPI, as she turned away four Oneonta shots to earn the win in net.
The Engineers conclude the fall campaign with an overall record of 8-9.
