TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's ice hockey team blanked Assumption 6-0 in a non-conference meeting inside Houston Field House tonight.
Reese Keating made 20 saves and four different Engineers posted multi-point efforts, topped by a two-goal, one-assist performance from
Ellie Kaiser.
Natalie Tulichinsky and
Morgann Skoda each recorded one goal and one assist and
Sabrina Beaudoin distributed two helpers to round out the Engineers group of two-point scorers.
RPI also received one tally apiece from
Sophia Jones and
Audrey McCutcheon, and one assist each from
Sophie Helgeson,
Gracyn Mackay, and
Maddy Papineau.
The Engineers jumped ahead quickly, as Skoda, Jones, and Kaiser all scored in the opening nine minutes to propel RPI ahead 3-0 early.
Tulchinsky netted the lone goal of the second period before Kaiser and McCutcheon registered tallies in the third.
RPI will look ahead to Friday night's home meeting against Brown, with the two sides set for a 6:00 pm puck drop in Houston Field House.
