ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team continued their strong start to Liberty League play, taking their third match in their last four as they defeated the RIT Tigers by a final score of 7-2 on the road Saturday afternoon.
Despite falling in the top court in doubles play, the Engineers took care of business on the other two courts for the second straight say, as
Prisha Rapur and
Brooke Bauer led play with a commanding 8-1 win at the No. 3 doubles spot.
In singles play, RPI took all but one court led by Rapur at No. 2 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Krisia Flores Gonzalez and
Lina Krumpel were also strong at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots in the lineup, both taking 6-3, 6-1 wins.
The Engineers return to action on Sunday, April 14 when they travel to Genev to take on William Smith in Liberty League play.
