TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) athletic department has announced the 2024-25 men's hockey schedule.
Looking to build off a 2023-24 campaign that saw RPI advance to the ECAC tournament quarterfinals for the first time since 2015-16, Head Coach
Dave Smith and the Engineers are slated for 34 regular season games this upcoming year, with a back-to-back at Canisus on October 11 and 12 serving as the opening weekend. The Engineers home-opener comes a week later as RPI plays host to Niagara in a Friday-Saturday series on Family Weekend in Houston Field House on October 18 and 19.
ECAC Conference play begins at home against Union October 25, which also marks RPI's Blackout game. Other marquee matchups in the second half of the season include the Mayor's Cup rivalry meeting versus Union on January 25 at the MVP Arena and the 47th Annual Big Red Freakout on February 1 against Yale.
RPI's non-conference schedule features visits from the University of Maine (November 30 and December 1) and New Hampshire (December 28) to Houston Field House, while the Engineers will hit the road for trips to Miami University (Ohio) (November 1 and 2) and Mercyhurst (December 14 and 15).
