Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Adrian Donnelly - Assistant Athletic Director for Communications

Women's Soccer Blanks Mount Saint Vincent 3-0

TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's soccer team shut out Mount Saint Vincent 3-0 today at ECAV Stadium. 

Izzy Gelzhiser and Brooke Miller each netted goals for the Engineers in the first 45 minutes, while Camila Dominguez capped the scoring with a second-half strike. 

Genevieve Ricci, Sarah Sedlacek, and Sophia Byron tallied one assist apiece to facilitate the Engineer's offense.

Gelzhiser opened the scoring with 16 minutes remaining in the first half, as she accepted a feed from Ricci in the middle of the Dolphins box before tucking a left-footed attempt into the back corner of the net.

Miller doubled the score four minutes later when she touched home a cross from Sedlacek.

Byron perfectly threaded a ball up-field to Dominguez, who finished off the Engineer scoring with her 78th-minute goal.

Looking ahead, RPI is back home at ECAV Stadium to host Plattsburgh State on Saturday at 5:00 pm.
