RPI Takes Down Keene State 2-1

TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's soccer team earned a 2-1 victory over Keene State today at ECAV Stadium.

Julio Rodriguez and Kyle Osborne each registered goals for the Engineers in the win. Rodriguez began the scoring in the 20th minute with a firecracker strike from 15 yards outside the Owls box. Thomas Corcoran provided the assist on the Rodriguez highlight.

Osborne doubled the RPI advantage to 2-0 with 73 seconds elapsed into the second half, as he was able to get a touch around Keene State goalkeeper Regan Racicot, who was sprinting off his line to defend the front of the box.

Keene State received a goal from Elias Stowell-Alamen in the 71st minute, however the Engineers were able to close out the final 20 minutes of action to record their first home win of the fall.

The Engineers will look ahead to Saturday's road matchup at SUNY Oswego. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 pm in the non-conference tilt.
