TROY, N.Y- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's soccer team dropped its home-opener to WPI this afternoon, with the visitors coming away with a 2-0 result at ECAV Stadium.

WPI set the tone with two goals in the first 20 minutes. Anthony Private got the scoring started with a left-footed strike in the 10th minute, which was shortly followed by an un-assisted strike from Fabio Bastida-Andreeu seven minutes later.

RPI was limited to six shots on the day and only registered one shot on goal. WPI generated an 12-6 advantage in overall shots.
