TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's basketball team struggled down the stretch against RIT, as the Tigers pulled away for a 58-44 win in ECAV Arena today.

The two squads were tied late in the third quarter, but the visiting Tigers scored 17 of the last 20 points to take the conference win.

The Engineers offense was held to just two made field goals on their final 17 shot attempts, and RPI did not score in the fourth quarter until a three-pointer from Sophie Costello with 25 seconds remaining.

Callie Flynn topped the Engineers with 14 points and three blocks. Costello had nine points and two steals and Julia Rowe provided six points and six rebounds. Flynn, Tyler Hormazabal, and Marley Mueller registered five rebounds apiece.

The Engineers will look to regroup on with a 5:30pm matchup against William Smith on Tuesday night.
