TROY, NY- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's basketball team avenged an earlier season defeat with a 73-42 home victory against William Smith.
Three Engineers logged double-digit scoring efforts, with Siena Smith's 17 points leading all scorers.
Callie Flynn finished with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Tyler Hormazabal tallied 13 points, six rebounds, six steals, and five assist.
The Engineers led every minute of tonight's game, beginning with 24-4 advantage after a first quarter that saw the Herons make 1-of-12 shot attempts in the frame.
Julia Rowe logged team-highs of nine rebounds and dished out six assists and Amanda Gallagher provided nine points, four rebounds, and three steals. Smith and Emilia Rojik grabbed four rebounds apiece as well.
RPI will next travel to Poughkeepsie to challenge Vassar at 5:30pm on Friday.
