Engineers Start Weekend Against #4 Cornell

TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's ice hockey team hosted #4 Cornell tonight in Houston Field House.

The nationally-ranked Big Red scored three goals in the second before adding another tally in the third to log the 4-0 ECAC victory.

Following a scoreless opening 27 minutes, Cornell netted three scores in a seven-minute span to pull ahead in the middle of the second period.

Sophie Helgeson, Charlotte Wensley, Audrey McCutcheon, and Gracyn Mackay each put two shots on for the Engineers.

Reese Keating made 38 saves in net, marking the third-most saves this season by the RPI goaltender.

The Engineers will flip around to face #5 Colgate tomorrow at 3:00 pm in Houston Field House.
