ORLANDO, FL- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team blanked Rhodes 7-0 today in Central Florida.
The Engineers claimed all but one set in singles play.
Aiden Drover-Mattinen stayed perfect in #1 singles this spring with a 7-6, 7-5 win, while
Andy Zhu came back for a 0-6, 6-3, 10-5 win on the #2 line.
Archit Yemula (6-3, 6-1),
Tsubi Okada (6-1, 6-1),
Tasmay Shah (6-4, 6-3), and
Nico Luis (6-2, 6-2) also took down their opponents in straight sets.
Okada and
Joel McCandless scored a 6-4 win in #2 doubles and
Archit Yemula worked with
Quoc-Uy Vo to win 6-1 in the third doubles tilt.
The Engineers will head back north to face Southwestern University on Friday afternoon in Ludlow, Mass.
