TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's lacrosse team hosted #7 William Smith this afternoon, with the nationally-ranked Herons coming away with a 16-9 result with ECAV Stadium.
Abigail Couzens netted a team-high two goals for the Engineers.

Quinn Wollard,
Ella Graff,
Emily Speck,
Kate McFeeley,
Lisa Boehmer, and
Adelaide Hughes all entered the scoresheet with a tally each.
Lauren DeLeo had two assists, while Graff and
Audrey Silverman recorded one assist apiece to facilitate the RPI offense. DeLeo also led the Engineers with two ground balls and eight draw controls. Abdelsayed and
Ava Gilardone caused one turnover apiece.
William Smith started the game strong with seven of the first nine goals. Graff, Speck, and McFeeley rallied to help RPI cut the margin to 8-5 before intermission, but the Herons would score twice in the final minute of the halftime to pull ahead for good.
RPI hits the road for its next two contests, beginning with a 12:00 pm tilt at RIT next Saturday.
