CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's lacrosse team won its seventh straight game with a 17-10 victory at MIT this afternoon.
Easton Morse had a game-high five goals, while
Tyler Ruffini and
Zach Swanson scored three and two goals, respectively. Morse also topped the Engineers with three assists to finish the afternoon with eight points.
RPI scored the first three goals of the day before MIT answered with three straight goals of its own. The Engineers ripped off five consecutive goals after that to pull ahead 8-3 in the middle of the second quarter.
A 4-1 rally by MIT edged the hosts closer in the closing stages of the second, however RPI rallied for eight of the next nine goals to manufacture a commanding 14-7 advantage after three quarters.

Sean Smith,
Angelo Venuto,
Owen Stesney,
Scott Lowe, and
Gavin Cousineau contributed one goal apiece in the road win.
Swanson, Whatley, and Ojert capped multi-point performances with two assists each, while
Cooper Manzi,
Joseph Perry,
Sean Mullen, and
Ty Stanek registered one helper each. Perry was the winner in net with 13 saves.
The Engineers are back in action at Williams on Wednesday night.
