LATHAM, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team bested Hobart 7-0 for its ninth consecutive dual match victory.
The #8 Engineers won 12 of the 13 singles sets, plus all three of the doubles tilts.
Aiden Drover-Mattinen set the tone with a 6-2, 6-2 win on the top singles line.
Andy Zhu (6-2, 6-4), Archit Yemula (6-0, 7-5), Tsubasa Okada (7-6, 6-1), and Nico Luis (6-2, 6-4) logged straight-set victories as well, while Tasmay Shah came back for a 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 triumph.
Drover-Mattinen / Zhu posted a 6-2 win as the top doubles squad. The duos of Joel McCandless / Okada and Shah / Luis both came out on top by a 7-6 margin.
RPI will next travel to Union for a 4:00 pm meeting on Tuesday in Schenectady.
