Softball Falls to Ithaca in Liberty League Championship

ROCHESTER, NY – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team had its season come to a close with a 8-0 defeat to Ithaca in the the Liberty League Championship.

Callista Adorno had the lone hit of the afternoon for RPI, as the Engineers were stymied by Ithaca pitcher Ana Cornell all afternoon.

Cornell finished with nine strikeouts in the six-inning victory, adding to a resume that helped her claim the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award.

RPI finishes the spring with an overall record of 28-11, which marks the seventh full season in a row that the Engineers have eclipsed at least 25 victories.
