TROY, N.Y. – Landon Bradley scored four times as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's soccer team netted six goals overall in a 6-1 non-league victory over Marywood University this afternoon in ECAV Stadium.
RPI wasted little time in opening the scoring, as Thomas Corcoran tallied in just the third minute on a rebound off a Noah Gregory attempt from close range. Bradley followed with his first goal of the day in the 14th minute, converting a feed from Ben Tymeson to double the lead.
After the Engineers maintained a 2-0 advantage into halftime, Marywood briefly cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 70th minute on a goal by Jason Camardo. But just over a minute later, Corcoran responded with his second tally of the match as he tapped in a near-post corner kick delivery by Owen Schnur.
Bradley then took over, scoring in the 80th, 82nd, and 84th minutes to complete a second-half hat trick and finish with four goals on the day. Joshua Jarden collected three assists during the span, while Schnur and Benjamin Dionisio also contributed to the late flurry of offense.
Noah Churchill made two saves to earn the win in goal for Rensselaer, which outshot the Pacers 23-8 and did not allow a corner kick in the match.
RPI is next set to face WPI on Saturday afternoon in Worcester, Mass.
