WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – A trio of Engineers placed inside the top seven and all seven runners finished in the top 20 as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's cross country team turned in a strong team performance at the 2025 Purple Valley XC Invitational, hosted by Williams College at Mount Greylock High School.
Evan Lacey led the way for RPI with a fifth-place finish in 24:58.7, followed closely by
Justin Cascio and
Jack Loughery, who crossed simultaneously in sixth and seventh, respectively, both clocking 25:00.3.
Thomas Manson placed 11th with a time of 25:13.3, and
Jack Czarnecki secured 14th in 25:27.6 to round out RPI's scoring five. Not far behind were
Tobin Durham (25:42.9) and
Dom Pena (25:47.7), who placed 18th and 19th overall.
The Engineers return to action in two weekends at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational on Saturday, October 3.
