NEW PALTZ, N.Y. — The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision at SUNY New Paltz this afternoon at South Turf Field.
After a scoreless first half in which RPI tallied four shots, three of which were on target, the host Hawks opened the scoring in the 63rd minute. Mia Baldinger found the back of the net unassisted to give New Paltz a 1-0 edge. The Hawks added to their lead in the 77th minute when Brooke Rosenberg scored off an assist from Kennedy Jones, giving the home team a 2-0 advantage.
RPI responded late in the match, as

Annabelle Bachhuber to cut the deficit in half, however the Engineers were unable to find an equalizer in the final moments.
RPI goalkeeper

Rachel Borra,
Camila Dominguez,
Maddi Kriha,

RPI will take the week off before welcoming RIT to ECAV Stadium for the Engineer's first Liberty League meeting of the fall.
