Women's Tennis Faces Tough Kenyon Squad in Final Day of Spring Trip

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team faced Kenyon this morning, competing in both doubles and singles action before the Owls secured a 7-0 team victory.

RPI opened the match in doubles play, where the Engineers earned a victory at the third position. The pairing of Gauri Muliyil and Juliette Ceas delivered a 6-4 win over Clare Hudson and Bridgette Kelly to secure RPI's lone doubles triumph of the day. At the top doubles position, Nicole Ridenour and Anushka Jaiswal battled Eleni Lazaridou and Hana Nouaime in a closely contested match before falling 7-5, while Kayla Wheeler and Victoria Sarabosing competed at No. 2 doubles against Shadia Amado Aguad and Kiara Komlodi. 

In singles play, Muliyil represented the Engineers at the No. 1 position against Lazaridou, while Wheeler competed at No. 2 singles against Komlodi. Sarabosing followed at the third position against Nouaime, and Ceas took the court at No. 4 singles against Aguad. Jaiswal played at No. 5 singles against Maya Stolarsky, and Prisha Rapur rounded out the lineup at No. 6 singles against Kelly. 

The Engineers will head back north, where they will begin preparations for the start of Liberty League play on Saturday, March 14 versus St. Lawrence.
