GAME DAY
• Rensselaer (1-1) hosts #17 Mount Holyoke (20-) in non-conference action at Harkness Field.

LAST TIME OUT
•     Angela Cascio scored the gamewinner, while Celia D'Agostino recorded two assists, leading Rensselaer to a 3-1 win over Hartwick in non-conference field hockey action on Wednesday afternoon at Wright Stadium. Hana Murphy scored the Engineers' first goal of the day, while Claire Cecilio scored later in the second half.

THE ENGINEERS
•     RPI's team is composed of a majority of young players, with ten freshmen gracing the roster, along with five sophomores, five juniors, and four seniors. The Engineers went 8-9 last season with a 2-4 mark in Liberty League play, but finished the 2013 season with five wins in the last six games.

•    Eight of RPI's opponents qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2014, including six that hosted at least one game.

•    Rensselaer will be anchored by senior goalkeeper Hannah Clough. Clough, an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention selection last fall, made 151 saves in 17 games, posting an .812 save percentage and a 2.03 goals against average. She finished with double-digit save totals in seven games and posted a career-high 20 stops against Mount Holyoke.

•    Seniors Chloe Hutchinson and Molly Zuk, along with junior Angela Cascio will lead the Engineers on and off the field this year.

THE LYONS
•    Four different players netted goals, including a game-best three from sophomore forward Charlotte Wagner, to lead the Mount Holyoke College field hockey team to a 7-0 win over Nichols College on Tuesday evening.

•    Mount Holyoke is the #17 team in the NFHCA DIII Top 20 and was picked by the conference coaches to finish second in the NEWMAC.

•    MHC is coming off a historic season as the squad posted an overall record of 18-3, which was the second-most wins in program history and the program record for fewest losses. The Lyons advanced to the championship game of the NEWMAC Tournament and earned the program's third bid to the NCAA Tournament, getting an At-Large selection.

•    The Lyons were also among the nation's best in a number of categories, including second in save percentage (.862) and fifth in both scoring margin (2.85) and winning percentage (.857).

COACHING STAFF
•    Rensselaer is led by Bridget LaNoir '99, now in her 13th season at the helm of the Engineer program.  LaNoir became the program's all-time winningest coach in 2009, passing former head coach Beth Hallenbeck on October 20, 2009 as the Engineers defeated Utica, 2-0.
