ONEONTA, N.Y. - Sophomore Blake Adams (Cedar, Grove, NJ/Seton Hall Prepatory) headed home the game-winning goal to lead the Rensselaer men's soccer team to a 1-0 double-overtime victory over Oneonta St. With the win, the Red Hawks close their regular season with a 13-4-1 overall record. The Red Dragons fall to 10-6-2 on the season.

Adams' goal came off of a Michael Long (Hopkinton, NH/Hopkinton) service in the 101st minute. He headed the ball just inside the left post for the tally.

Oneonta St. held a 15-7 edge in shots, but could not solve RPI sophomore netminder Alex Penny (Northport, NY/Northport) who finished with four saves. Red Dragons goalie Max Siegelman (Roslyn, NY/Roslyn) also had four stops.

The Red Hawks return to action on Friday, when they travel to Geneva, NY, to take on third-seeded St. Lawrence in the semifinal round of the Liberty League tournament. RPI is the second-seed, and will be the home side in the match. Gametime is set for 2pm.
