Women's Tennis Falls to New Paltz

Hawks take a 6-3 win from the Engineers

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – SUNY New Paltz captured two of three doubles and won four of six singles matches to defeat Rensselaer, 6-3. The homestanding Hawks improved to 4-1 on the season while the Engineers dropped to 3-1.

One of the top performers on the day for the Engineers was sophomore Jessica Sitzer (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills), who won at fifth singles and second doubles along with partner Christine Roe (Phoenix, AZ/North).

New Paltz will return to action next Saturday when they travel to Cortland to face Fredonia at 3:30 while RPI is back on the court on Tuesday at Hamilton (4pm).
