LATHAM, N.Y. – SUNY New Paltz captured four of the six singles matches to hold off the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team, 5-4 in a match at Capital Region Tennis and Fitness. 

After RPI won at second and third doubles, the visiting Hawks won at second, third, fourth and fifth singles to earn the victory.  Sophomore Paige Munroe (Ann Arbor, MI / Ann Arbor Pioneer) paced New Paltz by teaming with Montana Wilson (Hopewell Junction, NY / John Jay) to win at first doubles, 8-6, and then earning the victory in third singles, 6-0, 6-0.

For RPI, junior Brianna Dickie (Acton, MA / Acton Regional) had two victories, winning at third doubles with freshman Katrina Bohnhorst (Hellertown, PA / Saucon Valley), 8-3, and then posting a 6-3, 6-4 win at six singles.
