SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Freshman
Casey Olsen earned a pair of victories to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team to a, 7-2, victory over area-rival Union College, at the Union College Tennis Courts. With the win the Engineers improve to 3-1 on the season, while the Dutchwomen fall to 5-4.
Olsen (Glen Ridge, NJ/Glen Ridge) defeated Union's Brittany Gilbert (6-0, 6-1) at first flight singles, while pairing with sophomore
Meghan Olson (Rochester, NY/Penfield) for an 8-3 decision at first doubles.
Also earning two wins on the day was sophomore
Christina Ciamarra (Woodbury, MN/Newtown), who picked up a victory at second singles (6-1, 6-0) and teamed with freshman
Lexi Rindone (Prescott, AZ/Prescott) for a second doubles triumph (8-4).
