CLERMONT, Fla. – Senior
Jen Bach hit two home runs and threw a complete game to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team to a pair of wins over Pine Manor (21-0) and Loras College (5-2), this afternoon. With the wins, the Engineers have now won four games in a row and are 5-3 on the young season.
Bach (Lansdale, PA/Gwynedd Mercy Academy) paced the offense in the day's first victory over Pine Manor, going 3 for 4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and four runs batted in. Sophomore
Gillian McCarthy (Worthington, OH/Thomas Worthington) also had a big game, going 4 for 4 with a double, two triples and seven RBI.
Freshman pitcher
Charlene Osmanski (Elmhurst, IL/York) went the full 5.0 innings to earn the win, allowing just two hits and two walks.

In game two, Bach surrendered just two runs on four hits over 7.0 innings for the complete game victory as RPI won, 5-2, over Loras.

McCarthy continued her hot hitting, going 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored, while sophomore
