TROY, N.Y. – Powered by victories in all three doubles and wins in three of six singles matches, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team defeated SUNY Oneonta, 6-3 at Sharp Courts on Tuesday. The Engineers are now 9-3 on the season, while the Red Dragons slip to 6-5 overall.
Paving the way to victory were key doubles victories in all three flights, led by senior Jessica Sitzer (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) and junior Zosia Casterline (Farmington, MI/Farmington) who picked up an 8-3 win at first doubles.
Rookie Meghan Olson (Rochester, NY/Penfield) and sophomore Brianna Dickie (Acton, MA/Acton Regional) picked up the win in the second flight by a score of 8-4, while freshman Christina Ciamarra (Woodbury, MN/Newtown) and senior Jeanette Carillo (Brooklyn, NY/Fontbonne Hall Academy) won a hard fought battle, coming back for a 9-7 victory.

The Engineers are back in action on Sunday when they host Springfield at Sharp Courts (10:30am). SUNY Oneonta is now idle until April 30 when they take part in the New Paltz Spring Invitational.
