GENEVA, N.Y. - Led by four singles victories and wins in two out of three doubles, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team defeated Union College, 6-3 in the fifth place match at the 2011 Liberty League Tournament. With the victory, the Engineers conclude their outstanding season with a 13-4 mark. The Dutchwomen conclude with an 0-14 record.
Leading the way for RPI was rookie
Christina Ciamarra (Woodbury, MN/Newtown), who improved to 11-0 on the season at fourth singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Junior
Zosia Casterline (Farmington, MI/Farmington) was also a winner at the second flight, picking up a 6-1, 6-4 win.

Jess Sitzer (Rockaway, NJ/West Morris Central) also claimed victory at first doubles, winning 8-5. Also picking up solid wins were
Meghan Olson (Rochester, NY/Penfield) and
Brianna Dickie (Acton, MA/Acton Regional). Both won at fifth (6-4, 6-1) and third (7-6, 6-0) singles, respectively, and combined to win at second doubles by an 8-4 margin.
