TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 defeat at the hands of Liberty League-rival and 25th-ranked Vassar College at Sharp Courts on Friday. The victory marked eighth of the season for the Brewers, who are now 8-4 overall. The Engineers slip to 8-2 overall.

Katrina Bohnhorst (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) and junior captain
Brianna Dickie (Acton, MA/Acton Regional) battled to an 8-6 victory in the third flight.
RPI's second doubles pair of rookie
Lexi Rindone (Prescott, AZ/Prescott) and sophomore
Christina Ciamarra (Southington, CT/Newtown) had a hard-fought battle, but ultimately fell 9-8 (7-5). It marked the pair's first dual meet loss of the season, having gone 9-0 previously.

Casey Olsen (Glen Ridge, NJ/Glen Ridge) saw her 8-0 record at first flight singles halted, while classmate
Amanda Alexander (Houston, TX/The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts) had her mark of 7-0 cut short in the fourth flight. Dickie's streak of 6-0 also fell victim to the Brewers at fifth singles.
