Excitement is in the air as the Rensselaer women's lacrosse team gets ready for Wednesday's 3pm match-up against Messiah College in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.  Follow @rpiathletics on Twitter throughout the game for all the latest scores and updates from today's contest.  The Engineers head into their second-ever appearance at the NCAA Tournament with a 16-1 overall record, going 8-1 in the Liberty League and capturing this year's Tournament Championship title. 

The Falcons, who are ranked 10th in the latest IWLCA Top-20 Poll, enter today's match-up with a 15-3 record.  Messiah is making its third NCAA Championships in the past four seasons by way of an at-large bid. The Falcons went 6-0 in the Commonwealth Conference, but fell in the Tournament Championship to Elizabethtown.
