NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Rensselaer women's tennis team won two doubles matches and then captured four singles matches and the Engineers defeated SUNY New Paltz, 6-3. The Engineers are now 3-0 in dual matches this season.
Junior
Christina Ciamarra (Southington, CT / Newtown) led the way for the visitors, winning at No. 3 doubles with playing partner
Jessica Buckley (Whitesboro, NY / Notre Dame Jr.-Sr.), 8-5. She then won at second singles, 6-3, 6-1.
Freshman
Emily Laurilliard (Niskayuna, NY / Niskayuna) was also a two-time winner, taking first doubles with playing partner
Casey Olsen (Glen Ridge, NJ / Glen Ridge), 9-8 (8-6) and fourth singles, 3-6, 6-4 (10-1). Olsen went on to drop her singles match (No. 1) in dramatic fashion, 4-6, 6-4 (17-15).
