ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The University of Rochester won all three doubles matches before sweeping the six singles on its way to defeating Rensselaer, 9-0 in a battle between regionally-ranked opponents. The No. 12 Yellowjackets improve to 11-6, while the No. 20 Engineers are now 12-4. The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for RPI.
Rochester won eight of the nine matches in straight sets with the lone exception coming at second singles in which Rensselaer freshman
Emily Laurilliard forced a third set. Yellowjackets sophomore Rachel Suresky prevailed, however, 6-1, 3-6, 10-4.
