Aimee Konet went a combined 4 for 7 with three runs batted in to lead Rensselaer to a doubleheader split with Plattsburgh State, on Thursday ... Kristina Weltzin was named Pitcher of the Week for the second time in three weeks ... A righthander, Weltzin threw a complete game shutout in her only outing last week, as the Engineers blanked Castleton State, 8-0, in game one of a doubleheader on Thursday. Allowing just one hit (a single) in 6.0 innings, she struck out eight, while walking one.

Amber Maisonet, who is in her second season at the helm of the Engineers ... A 2008 graduate of the University of Albany, Maisonet is assisted by fellow Great Danes' alum Casey Halloran, who enters her third season as the team's pitching coach.
